sustainable materials

Sustainable materials contribute to a circular and bioeconomy.

They decline our dependence on fossil resources, reduce GHG emissions, and create sustainable markets.

Our metals, natural rubber, and plastics are truly sustainable. They are sustainably certified to assure that the materials are benign, sustainably harvested, recycled, and/or compostable. Let us help your metal, plastic and rubber manufacturing business grow sustainably and win consumer trust.

Natrual Rubber

Natural rubber has highly economic importance thanks to its versatility and wide application. Global consumption is expected to be 17 million tonnes (Mt) by 2025 in which more than 1 Mt is used in the EU. NR is one of the high demanding raw materials in the coming decades.

Bioplastics

There are many advantages of bioplastics. In temperate zone (23.5° – 35°C) biodegradable plastics can be gradually converted into carbon dioxide (CO2), biomass, and water with the help of micro-organisms. The length of the biodegradation process is highly dependent on environmental parameters such as humidity and temperature.

Recycled Plastics

Plastic recycling is an urgent issue which needs to be tackled by the whole society. In the European Union, the ban of certain single-plastic use comes into force by the 3rd July 2021. What types of plastics are popularly recycled? HDPE (high density polyethylene) – milk cartoons and shampoo bottles LDPE (low density polyethylene) – food bags, and PP (polypropylene) – margarine tubs and ready-meal trays. PET (polyethylene terephthalate) – water bottles and trays Other plastics which can also be recycled (at specialist facilities) including Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Polystyrene (PS).
