sustainable materials

Certified and sustainable materials contribute to a greener and more sustainable economy. They decline our dependence on fossil resources, reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and create new jobs and sustainable markets.

Our recycled and bioplastic resins, and natural rubbers are truly sustainable. They are certified to assure that the materials are benign, sustainably harvested, compostable, or recycled. Let us guide your plastic and rubber manufacturing and business grow sustainably, win consumer trust and societal acceptance.

There are many advantages of bioplastics. In temperate zone (23.5° – 35°C) biodegradable plastics can be gradually converted into carbon dioxide (CO2), biomass, and water with the help of micro-organisms. The length of the biodegradation process is highly dependent on environmental parameters such as humidity and temperature.

Plastic recycling is an urgent issue which needs to be tackled by the whole society. In the European Union, the ban of certain single-plastic use comes into force by the 3rd July 2021.

What types of plastics are popularly recycled?

  • HDPE (high density polyethylene) – milk cartoons and shampoo bottles
  • LDPE (low density polyethylene) – food bags, and
  • PP (polypropylene) – margarine tubs and ready-meal trays.
  • PET (polyethylene terephthalate) –  water bottles and plastic trays

Other plastics which can also be recycled (at specialist facilities) including Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and Polystyrene (PS).
