FAO recognises important role of agricultural plastics

Bioplastics including compostable and bio-based plastics have low or nearly zero environmental impacts, thus they are promising alternatives to single-use plastics. The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation has published an assessment report based on thorough scientific evidence and confirms the benefits of the agricultural plastics – bioplastics as already found in any other studies.
